Will Clews and RunnersGoals helped me realize my bucket list running goal: qualifying for the Boston Marathon. He saw my potential and guided me to speed and race times I would have thought were beyond my ability. In 17 weeks of training with Will, he helped me shave nearly 22 minutes off my previous best marathon time.

Will is an incredibly knowledgeable, passionate and caring coach who absolutely went above and beyond. He provided hours of personalized attention and coaching advice, including customized training plans and a goal-oriented approach that was tailored to my individual needs and that factored in hectic my lifestyle, including my family and work commitments. Will’s commitment to my needs in order to help me achieve my running goals was unparalleled.

Beyond his sage advice and support, another incredible value of training with Will is the team environment he fosters. From day one, I was warmly welcomed into his RunnersGoals family. The camaraderie and team environment Will nurtures among his athletes was a welcoming source of encouragement, motivation and celebration. A definite bonus energy generator during the tougher or longer training sessions!

I joined Runner's Goals when training for the Toronto Marathon, my second full marathon after 3 years. I had completed many half marathons, but had never had formal training. I wanted to build both my physical and mental strength to get through the race with confidence, and to train without injury.

Will provided me with a training program that enabled me to do that. I learned to train smart instead of pushing myself to my limit on each run, which allowed me to increase my speed and stamina without injuring myself. His training program and moral support allowed me to get through my marathon confidently and 42 minutes faster than my first marathon. I also qualified for the Boston Marathon, which I had thought was well beyond my capabilities. I could not have done this without the support of Will and the rest of the team.

Will works with each runner to work towards their own personal goals and creates a training program that suits their needs, goals and lifestyle. The team has runners of many different ages and levels, but we work together and support each other to pursue our different goals. Runner's Goals has provided me with quality training, and a team of running partners and friends. We work together and motivate each other to get through the tough runs and races. My training with Will and the Runner's Goals team has helped me realize my potential and push myself to reach my goals as a runner. I'm lucky to have such a great team to train with!

I’ve been a proud member of the RunnersGoals team since 2017, and over the years, it has become so much more than just a training group—it’s truly a second family. Coach Will has played a pivotal role in my running journey, and his guidance and support have been instrumental in helping me achieve one of my biggest dreams: running the Boston Marathon—not just once, but three times.

To date, I’ve completed 16 marathons, and I’m on a mission to conquer all six World Major Marathons and earn my Six Star Finisher medal. Running is a huge part of my life, not just as a personal pursuit, but as a way to lead by example. As a busy working mom of two teenage daughters, being part of this team allows me to show them the value of dedication, perseverance, and the power of community.

Every mile I run is fueled by passion, purpose, and the support of my teammates. RunnersGoals isn't just where I train—it's where I grow, push boundaries, and share unforgettable moments with people who feel like family.

Being a working mother of three means my schedule is dictated by children, and this group gives me the flexibility I need so I can focus on all the things I love.

Although the training is hard, it’s not grueling, and my running posture, pace and timing have all improved since joining. There is a real sense of encouragement and belonging in this group.

Coach Clews ensures a healthy and positive running environment for all the runners.

I’ve often teased Will suggesting he should change his club name to something snazzier than "RunnersGoals." Will would never change the name because his proposal is embedded within it. Will’s mission is to help you meet your goals. His commitment is to work with you regardless of your level to get you to be the best runner that you want to be. He’s a talented coach who is driven, caring, conscientious, and puts in the immense effort required to sustain a personal relationship with each individual member of the team. You know that he’s in your corner, emotions on his sleeve, working for you.

After 1.5 years with RunnersGoals, I was able to accomplish a personal best of 3:04:34 in a recent marathon. I look forward to beating this time in the upcoming Chicago Marathon.

I have been training with Will Clews, Runners Goals since 2017. I was looking for a running club that shared my passion for running Marathons, and a good running buddy of mine recommended Will. Since joining Runners Goals, I have achieved 3 PB’s. I had only been training with Will and his team for under a year when I ran The Road to Hope Marathon. In that race my goal was to qualify for the Boston Marathon. I had run 6 marathons previous to this one and all of them were painful, except this one. From start to finish I felt strong, and knew that it had to be from Will’s personal coaching. I not only qualified with a time of 3:50, but I was 15 minutes faster than my Boston qualifying time!

I joined Runner’s Goals in 2023 after running the Chilly half marathon. It took me over three hours to complete that race and I knew that I needed training in order to improve myself and achieve my goals.

Since joining Will, I’ve seen myself become faster and faster. In fact, I ran the Chilly half marathon again in 2025 and ran a sub two-hour race. I now have my sights on running the half marathon in Valencia, Spain.

What makes Coach Will so great is that he finds the strength in each of his clients, and helps us see that strength within ourselves. I am consistently amazed at how fast I’m becoming and am blessed to be part of his team.

On the running front, 2011 was a great year for me. I qualified for Boston, New York and London and PB’ed in the 5K, 8K, 10K, 15K, Half Marathon and full Marathon distances. I attribute my success to Will. Coach Will blends a team approach, with individual success that enables a runner to develop and grow. I would not have been as successful in 2011 without Will, of that I am sure. I know that I will continue to develop as a runner under his guidance and mentorship.

My recent marathon in the Fall of 2012 in Philadelphia marks the 4th marathon that I have trained for under Will’s coaching. With each marathon I have become a stronger and better runner. However, Philadelphia was an exceptional result because Will took me to the next level of training that enabled me to obtain an incredible 8 minute PB of 3:02:55, and pushed me very close to my goal of a sub 3-hour marathon. Will continues to push his athletes to new heights and I am fortunate to be under his coaching.
